Paul Duke

Lead Vocals/Guitar

Paul’s love for music is diverse and deep, spanning three generations of gospel, bluegrass, classical piano, rock, and jazz. Playing drums as a kid turned into guitar as a teen, which led to both guitar and vocals later on. Key influencers are Steely Dan, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, and Spyro Gyra.  Main guitar inspiration came from Duane Allman, Jimmy Page, Dickey Betts, Jeff Beck, and Larry Carlton. Paul is thrilled to nurture his God-given passion for music with Major Dudes.

Noel started out as a guitarist with several bands in California before taking a break for family. He picked up the bass to help out a church and has since devoted himself to the low end. Influences include Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Boston, Rush, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Adam Again, the 77s, and other more off-the-beaten-path bands. His bass influences include Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, Jaco Pastorius,  Billy Sheehan, Geezer Butler, and Les Claypool, just to name a few.

Troy Moore

Lead Guitar

From the outer banks of North Carolina, Troy has had a passion for Rock and Roll since listening to Meet the BEATLES in 1963.
He started teaching himself the guitar in High School and played for several bands in the 80’s.  After a 30 year hiatus he picked it up again and repairs, builds and enjoys the creative challenge of reproducing Classic 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music.

A North Carolina native and a jeweler by trade, Jeffrey spends his spare time playing musicals, jazz, worship music, and of course, rock and roll classics. His main musical influence is Nigel Olsson.

Damon Wood

Keys

After many years of classical training, Damon developed his own improvisational style and basically said goodbye to sheet music. In high school, Damon saved up to buy an organ and Leslie system and played in bands featuring rock and blues, including the Allman Brothers. Fast forward:  After his kids moved out, he found time for music again. He enjoys blending his varied keyboard styles with both his church’s band and with Major Dudes.
